Fee Information

The cost of a 1-hour therapy session is $150.00.  I can be an out-of-network provider for most insurance plans and I do not mind submitting claims on your behalf. Please contact the office to determine insurance benefits and coverage.  I can attempt to look up your benefit information prior to meeting with you to determine if I am covered by your specific plan.  Please note:  Missed sessions cannot be billed to your insurance company and you may be responsible for a fee (not just the copay amount) if the cancellation policy is not followed.  In addition, you are responsible for any charges not covered by your insurance plan including claims that are denied for any reason.  I will let you know if I am aware of any changes in your billing but you are ultimately responsible to stay up-to-date on your plan coverage and notify me of any changes.

CANCELLATION POLICY

There is no fee if appointments are cancelled with at least 24-hour notice or in the case of medical emergencies.  For no show appointments or late cancels, a $75.00 fee will apply.  If more than two no shows or late cancels occur, you will be billed the full fee for the session or you may be referred elsewhere for services.

GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE

By law, if you are paying out-of-pocket for health care, you are entitled to a Good Faith Estimate of the total cost of services. While this is meant to protect self-paying consumers from unexpected health care costs, it is difficult to predict how much counseling will be helpful to you at the outset.

Duration and frequency of counseling is something we will evaluate together as our relationship unfolds. In general, most people I work with prefer to start out meeting weekly, and then change to bi-weekly or as-needed when they start feeling better. For example, a year of weekly sessions could cost up to $7,500 while biweekly sessions would cost around $3,750.
