Therapy on the Run

Do you find yourself typically feeling stressed and exhausted by the end of the day?  Do you spend time worrying about aspects of your life that you don’t necessarily feel like you can change?

If so, Therapy on the Run may be just what you need!  Therapy on the Run is a six week counseling group focused on the areas of stress and anxiety management.  The group will meet on a weekly basis for a combination of group therapy and, of course, running. 

​

The goals of Therapy on the Run are to increase awareness of how stress and anxiety manifests in the body and to learn techniques to reduce these symptoms.  All fitness levels welcome!

Trusting the Body's Wisdom

We live in a culture that is always on the go.  It can be hard to slow down enough to even check in with ourselves at times.  This group utilizes various modalities, including mindfulness meditation, somatic experiencing, movement, and guided imagery, to assist group members in gaining increased awareness of their internal state of being and identify areas that may be stuck.  Activities and group process will be utilized to increase somatic awareness.  The content and focus of the group varies depending on the needs of the members.
